This week Yosef received his personalized book for his 12th birthday and I have to say, it was such a special gift.
The minute he opened it, he started reading and literally did not stop until he finished the whole book. It was so fun watching his face as he recognized his pictures and read different things about himself. What I loved most is that the book actually started a conversation between us. Each child is interpreted artistically in The Light Within's signature illustrated style. Photos are used as reference, not to create an exact portrait or photographic replica. See our Terms & Conditions for details.

How long does it take to receive our book?
Please allow approximately 2–3 weeks from the time your completed questionnaire, photos, and payment are received.
Every book is created individually, carefully edited, professionally printed, inspected, packaged, and shipped by us before making its way to your home. Because each book is made specifically for one child, we never rush the creative process.
It takes a little time to create something that exists nowhere else.
What information do you need from us?
You'll complete a short questionnaire about your child's personality, strengths, interests, current challenges, and the message you'd love their story to carry. We'll also ask for a few recent photos to use as visual reference. The questionnaire takes about 5–10 minutes.
What ages are the books for?
THE LIGHT WITHIN is written for every age — young children, tweens, and teens alike. The story's tone, vocabulary, and themes are matched to your child's actual age and interests, based on what you share in the questionnaire.
Will the illustrated character look like my child?
Your child's photos are used as visual reference so we can reflect recognizable details such as their hair, skin tone, eye color, and overall appearance. The final character is then artistically interpreted in The Light Within's signature storybook style, rather than created as an exact portrait or photographic likeness.
Can the book be in Hebrew?
Yes — THE LIGHT WITHIN is available in English or Hebrew. Just let us know your preference in the questionnaire.
Can I tell you what my child is going through?
Absolutely — the questionnaire has space for this, and it's some of the most valuable information you can share. Whatever you tell us is handled with care and used only to shape a story that speaks to your child.
Is each story really different?
Every story is written from scratch based on your child's answers. No two books are the same — the name, personality, challenge, and illustrated character are all built around your child alone.
Do you ship internationally?
International orders are welcome. Shipping costs are calculated separately based on destination.
What's your refund policy?
Because every book is individually written and illustrated for one specific child, personalized orders are non-refundable once the creative process has begun.
Your child's photos and questionnaire are used as inspiration and visual reference, but the final character and illustrations are an artistic interpretation created in The Light Within's signature storybook style. For this reason, differences in artistic interpretation or personal preference are not considered errors and are not eligible for a refund.
If we make a factual mistake based on the information you provided, such as an incorrect name, hair color, eye color, or other important detail, we'll gladly correct it. If your printed book arrives damaged or has a printing defect, we'll also make it right.
